Rob

For me the love for rottweiler started when I met Dexter, the rottweiler of the de Rottweiler owned by the dairy shop I worked for. Very quickly dex and I had a very special connection and after a few years Dex came to live with me, he was 6 years old by then. Dexter reached the age of 13 years, a very high age for a Rottweiler. After he died I didn't have a dog for a while, but I always knew I would have one again. Seven years ago (2001) I got Milan and with him a slowly rolled into the 'rottweilerworld'. I discovered that the Rottweiler is also a great dog to do dogsport with (IPO) and ever since I am very active in dog sport. My first experience with dogtraining was at a dogschool after that I found a Rottweiler specialty club in Amsterdam and at this moment I train my dogs at WHG Schellingwoude, a all breed working club.

With Milan I managed to pass IPO II.  My next dog, Beertje was choosen for her workqualities, with her I went all the way to IPO III. Beertje was also suitable to breed with and with her I bred the A-litter of "vom Erpenstein" . Out of this litter I kept one female called Adel. At the moment I train with Munanis Cash a great dog to work with. Besides training dogs you'll find me on several events of the Dutch Rottweiler Club (NRC) and teh NBG busy with my other hobby, Photography, to see my work go to www.ragverp.nl

At this moment I have 2 dogs:

Beertje vom Cassanova IPO III, VPG III, VZH, BH(D) , ZTP(D),  MAG test FE, HD and ED Free

Munanis Cash IPO II & VZH.

Bruce vom Erpenstein a son of Beertje out of her second litter.

Unfortunately due to a divorce I had to give two of my dogs to my ex, by clicking their names you'll find info.

Milan van de Maashegge IPO II and VZH

Adel vom Erpenstein a daughter of Beertje out of her first litter.

I've got dogs since I was 15 years old, it started with a hardheaded Beagle. The Rottweilers followed when I was 18 years old and I found a friend that introduced me in the "Rottweilerworld". Spring 1997 my first own female was born; Vlo van de Vrundenhoeve. With her I managed to get IPO II, VZH (BH) and the Dutch Breedtest we also participated in some shows. Vlo was a very special and stabile rottweiler and with her I bred my first litter in 1999 under the kennelname MUNANIS. Out of that first litter I kept Munanis Akki, with her I reached the IPO III level, VZH (BH), unfortunately Akki was not suitable for breeding. And that is why we bought ourselves a new female  Ter Waele Vaye, a once in a lifetime female, with her we cuntinued our  breedingprogram. At MUNANIS I bred until 2008 a total of 6 litters, after breaking up my relationship I've decided to continue breeding Rottweilers. And well then...what do you do next...? My husband Rob just had his kennelname, I thought about getting my own kennelname, but since Rob had only bred one litter, where I was very involved with I decided to stick to "vom Erpenstein", so we've decided to continue together under this kennelname.

At this moment I have 3 females:

Munanis Bessy untill now she has her IPO III, VZH, BH, UV, MAG test FE KZH en ZTP in Germany. Also with her I participated in several shows.  Bessy has had 2 litters so far under the kennelname Munanis, the D-litter (Herbie vom Gruntenblick) and the F-litter (Ambassador vom Shambala).

Munanis Dutch Diva, a daughter of Bessy, out of her first litter. She has passed her BH, AD and MAG test already and hopefully more titles will follow in the future.

Chloë vom Erpenstein a daughter of Bessy, out of her third litter.

Together we own quite some dogs.

*********************************************************************************************************

In daily life we both work,  Rob as head of technical services at a companyhouse and Amanda as administrative assistant. Because Rob has the opportunity to take the dogs to work, the do not have to spend that much time alone.

If we are not a work we spend almost all of our time on our dog.

What do we do with our dogs? Walk outside with the whole group or smaller groups, regularly we take our dogs to walk next to the bike, but we also take our dogs to our club NBG WHG Schellingwoude owned by workingjudge Willem Spies, where we we train them for IPO. If we are not at our own club we train somewhere else. We regularly visit seminars and workshops to stay up to date in the dogtraining, that's not only fun it is very educating. After all you are never to old to learn something new.

You will also find us on several shows a year, we will be there as a participant, supporter or we help other people handle their dogs. At a show the dogs will be judged by their exterior (looks). It is very nice and exciting to participate. The shows that we visit are CAC/CACIB shows (national and international Breed shows) to ADRK Specialty shows (German shows with only Rottweilers.

Now and then we breed a litter of puppies...not that often, because we also have a job. Bur now and then we make the time to breed a litter of rottweilers. We only do this if we have enough people on our 'list' or if we want a pup ourselves out of a well thought combination of parents. We love breeding, but it is also lots of work. When we look for a stud we have high demands, the stud needs to have a very good and stabile character, must be in very good health, he must look like a true rottweiler and also be a dog that is able to give working abilities. Our females are tested on health (Hip- and Ellbowdysplasia) they are character tested (MAG test) and shown several times. All our females are used for sports (IPO).

Because we only breed once in a while our puppies are born and raised in our own home, we take the best care in nursing and socializing our puppies. In our house they will also get used to al the everyday sounds life has to offer (vacuum cleaner, TV, human contact, kids and other dogs)  That is how we try to lay a base for a stabile and social rottweiler. Off course the rest of the job of raising a puppy is up to their new ownwers.

 Our breedinggoal is;

breeding goodlooking, healthy & stabile dogs suitable as sport-, showdogs and also as a pet, a complete rottweiler.

Before the puppies leave our home, they will be examined by our Veterinarian they will have their first shots and have been dewormed several times, they will be microchipped and registred by the Dutch Kennel Club ( Raad van Beheer op Kynologisch Gebied in Nederland)  We only breed according to al the rules of the Dutch Rottweiler Club (NRC) an Dutch Kennel Club, therefor our dogs live up to the highest rules. The Dutch Kennel Club and the Dutch Rottweiler Club have made a buyerscontract, we use this for our puppies, you can read it here if you want (sorry Dutch only :-( )

Even after the puppies have left our homes to go to their new owners, we still feel very responsable for "our" puppies, so please don't hesitate to call us when you need our help or advise  with raising or training your rottweiler. Mocht u meer willen weten, via de contactpagina kunt u ons contacten.

Thank you for your interest in our website and dogs and who knows we might meet eachother!
